Yeah, it looks like the link is for a 4.3. Sorry about that. They may have only used one mark on the 350. I’ve never had to look on mine.

Might as well try feeling for air coming out of the plug and lining up the mark or pulling the valve cover and watching the #1 valves until both are up (closed).

They may have only used one mark on the 350.
The two Vortec 5.7 dampers I have, have a single line for timing.

Might as well try feeling for air coming out of the plug and lining up the mark or pulling the valve cover and watching the #1 valves until both are up (closed).
Be VERY careful if watching the valves/rocker arms for "closed" valves.

They will either be closed (TDC Compression) or they will be ALMOST closed/slightly open on overlap (TDC Exhaust). If they're on overlap, they look closed, but are not--and the distributor will be 180 degrees "off". The engine will NOT run, but it might produce some mighty backfires.
