Was looking around under my dash yesterday and the brake pedal plunger assembly had a few dark colored drops dripping off of it on the passenger side of the firewall. In other cars this has indicated I need a new brake master cylinder. If I have to buy one anyway which way should I go - stock or upgrade to one off of a newer model?
In a couple of the brake upgrade threads I saw some comments like 'replacing a worn out master with a stock new one might give the same results as upgrading to one off of a newer model'.
Also, I'm not sure if on say a 1500 it makes more sense to upgrade to a newer model but maybe the 3500 would not see as much of an improvement?
Suggestions welcome, thanks in advance!
