Regular cab pickup, thorough and regular service record

I’ve noticed that when I’m accelerating from a stop and more so when going up a hill I hear a slight rattle from somewhere under the hood or under the truck. It’s mostly subtle and there’s no performance correlation to it either. No slipping no extra revving or anything like that. And acceleration is smooth and not hindered.

I was originally concerned it may be the transmission but I feel like I would feel that as well as hear it. The truck has been doing this for a couple of months now and varies day to day. Could this be a gremlin I need to chase down seriously? Or am I over analyzing a noise my truck makes? Any input would be appreciated.

Broke motor mount, fan hitting the shroud? Not common but I've seen it happen.

Connect a scan tool, look at knock sensor activity.

I've seen that happen with the old-style mounts, but never with clamshells.

OTOH, aftermarket clamshell mounts are made of REALLY thin steel.
