96 350 vortec k2500 wont start

went to start my 1996 Cheyanne k2500 4wd the other day 7 it started ran for 10 seconds then died, let it sit 2-3 hours, it started then stalled after about 2 seconds, now it wont start at all, has good fuel pressure at the throttle body, any help would be nice, thanks

so I got my buddy's scanner up & we figure out its getting spark to the distributor, we figure the rotor/button got condensation in it from all the humid/damp/rainy weather & corroded it, what's the best plug in after market distributor for a 96 5.7 vortec, without having to change the factory coil etc, we're throwing new plug wires & plugs in as well..haven't had a plug change in 4+ years
