Ok, Enough about tires, cost of tires, etc. What about going 6 lug to 8 lug on a half ton truck? Where do you get the wheel bearing hubs at for a 1/2 ton truck?

I am fairly positive that they do not exist and I know the hubs will not bolt up. Good luck with whatever you figure out but the only way I know of is to use adapters.

The only way to do it is SAS or completely swap out your suspension for 3/4 ton, definately not worth it if you just want to cause the wheels look better

buy a truck with 8 lugs, or get adapters for the front wheels and swap out the rear axle shafts/axle itself.

I would consider buying adapters but then i would into balancing and alignment issues. Plus who sells 6 to 8 lug wheel adapters?

you'll need the 8 lug rotors, spindles, calipers, wheel bearings, upper ball joints, and upper control arms for the front, use your existing factory lower control arms and lower ball joints. The 8 lug spindle will fit on your lower ball joint and the upper control arm will bolt on your frame. All you need then is a 14 bolt 8 lug rear end. This is a direct fit modification that will bolt right in.

Here is a front setup I got for my 1/2 ton but never swapped over. I was going to get a set of h2 wheels but changed my mind.

Never knew that it was that easy. Do the brakes need anything different or do the calipers fit onto the 1/2 ton fittings and work with the abs?

That stuff is for a 2wd. I "believe" the upper control arm mount on a 4wd is different from a 6 lug to an 8 lug.....I am 99% positive on this. They only way to 8 lug the front is SAS or adaptors.
