I know this isn't exactly an axle or brake question but my buddy just bought a 96 6.5 diesel and he's been trying to install the driveshaft and he said he knows there's a trick to it but he can't figure out what it is, do any of you know?

Yours going to have to be more specific as to what the problem is. There's only 2 ends of a driveshaft, unless he got it really f##### up lol

It may be keyed. If it don't fit, twist it one tooth and try again. Keep going till it slides on... that's why I ALWAYS mark the shaft and the spline as I pull it out so there's no guessing...
