5.7 rebuild questions

I recently had a rebuilt 4L60E installed at a local shop so as long as I'm dropping money what sort of damage am I looking at to get either the original 5.7 in my '99 K1500 rebuilt, or have a rebuilt 5.7 installed? The engine runs great at the moment no trouble codes and is very reliable, I'm just planning ahead and am curious as to how much to budget for this job in the future.
