The transmission on my ol 96 1500 2wd just gave up the ghost at a rather inopportune time. I did some reading on here and it would seem that my truck should have a 1 piece bell housing with a 12 pin connector. Friend of a friend has a 4L60E pulled from a 97 Camaro that I can get cheap, but I'm wondering how interchangeable these are. His is also a 1 piece bell housing with a 12 pin connector so from what I gather it's an early 97. Tail shaft and housing, speedometer setup, anything different? I don't really tow or beat on the ol girl, she just turned 200k. Thanks!
