alright guys i have my donor engine stripped down. I am leaning towards a set of vortec heads for my build. I know cam specs and other variables will impact what i want to know but i was wondering.
1. how good are they for low end mid range torque?
2. are they worth porting and polishing
3. how much hp can they support bellow 5000 rpms
Cam specs i plan to go with 206/210 at 50 degrees, 458 of lift 9.2-9.4:1 cr the truck will be used for a 4x4/towing rig i want a engine that will have a good strong power band and i want to ensure these heads will help me with that also my goal is 340 hp and 380 of torque i want my peak torque around 3000 rpms
