2wd Recovery hook Q's

Ok, I've got my lower valence torn off courtesy of a 37" truck tire and I want to install recovery hooks, or shackles.
How do you attach shackles to the frame as i see so many of you guys do? the hooks just go on in the two hole on the frame rail tip. but the swinging shackles have me puzzled!@

Some 2wd's came factory with two hooks, rare option, all you need is the hooks themselves. The proper plates are nice but nuts and bolts will work.

Look up 88GMCTruck. He has some of those on his truck. Might want to ask him.

His are built into the front support for his solid axle hanger....
