do a leakdown if you can

his story doesnt make sense he says it was for 2 different cars?

make sure that thing wasnt sitting outside

pull all the plugs

turn the crank all the way see how it sounds/feels

He said it has always been garage kept, he sent me pictures everything is all taped up. and all the accessories are off. Can I get the Leakdown tool at a autozone or anyplace like that? How much would you shoot for a asking price, I was going to say 600 and see where I go from there but I'm not going over 700

An engine in great condition should generally show only 5 to 10% leakage. An engine that's still in pretty good condition may show up to 20% leakage. But more than 30% leakage indicates trouble.

i would just get it if it has been taken care of and if the internals are crap stroke it
