1994 K1500 blown 3 trans within a year???

wait so we all thought it was a 60e now your gonna tell us its a 700r4? if you installed it did you mess up the tension on the tv cable? thatll burn up a trans quick fast and in a hurry.

Naw the 700r4 was rebuilt and just re- installed with no upgrades yet. The 14 bolt should be installed this weekend I'm picking it up Today with 3.73 gears in it. as well as the front end. My question is now should I keep my 315's rolling with the 14 bolt or go back down to a 285? Take the body lift off and install the 4" rough country lift? Need suggestions

Its a 94. should be a 60e. Unless someone put the wrong trans in it.

Naw it came with that 700r4 in it. The tranny shop and mechanic asked me how that happened and I really have no clue but its not electronic its ran by the throttle cable and they all said its just a stock 700r4 tranny

Should I go back down to 285's and sell the 315's with the new 14 bolt installed?

That would be your call. Probably would prolong the life of the truck.

i thought 60e no one ever corrected us lol, whats the tension on your tv cable like? and with a cooler and 3.73s in the 14 it should be better, most people dont have an issue especially with a cooler.
