Newbie here all. Having a custom 383 being built for my truck. But right now my main issue is in rebuilding the tbi pressure regulator. Yes it has been chipped. Upon disassembly of the regulator there was a spacer used under the diagram..... To increase/decrease pressure not sure. Seeing the regulator is unadjustable. Any thoughts? The spacer is far left old diaphragm middle new right. Should I put it back in?? Will discuss motor specs soon. Thank you
tbi no more 383 need to go with a holley or something like it if you have a automatic if it is a manual you can go carb dont waste you time on the tbi you payed good money for a 383 than dont hold it back with bad fueling

Two, 225-watt motors? 450 watts total? Is that going to be enough fan?

30 amps X 14 volts is 420 watts, and most OEM fans use double 30 amp relays or even triple; and potentially rated for higher amperage.

I have a bad feeling about that fan system. OTOH, I've never converted to an aftermarket electric fan system, I don't know what's common/adequate.
Over 4k cfm made for the 32" wide radiator.

Yeah, I was thinking about a pusher fan and keeping the 11 blade, severe duty clutch for my main cooling here in the desert. It does need help at idle.

Look at that again,,, 295 lift intake and 500 exhaust??? Shouldn't that be 495? My 383 has the XR282HR cam with .510/.520 and 230/236 @ .050 for 436HP - dyno proven, just saying... :33:

Why do you wana do away with the mechanical fan?

I still run one. My truck runs at a
185-190 at the hottest part of the day in Houston Texas sitting in traffic.

Iv never been sold on Electric fans. I'm sure they gave their place.
Ditching the manually belt driven fan for electric to add a few extra hp's I know not a lot but a little. Same as using roller rockers, Harold Sharp's supposed to be added here as well don't quote me 15-30 hp and less oil temp, from less friction. Same as a high volume pump over a high pressure pump, a couple hp's. Will it all be noticable doubt it. But is worth it all at this stage

Will as him this Friday when I head to Enterprise. He has said he uses different length push rods. He also stated finding the cam he wanted was pretty difficult. Possibly he was looking more for the @.50 217/225. Knowing he could adjust the push rods lengths for his desired lift amounts? Say longer on the intake for 465-480 and shorter exhaust 472-490?? Or any variance in-between???

Nope, you adjust lifter preload, not total lift. He misstated the Intake lift by .200"
