I had a similar issue with computer restricting fuel flow at odd times. Took me a while to figure out that the coolant temp sensor went bad. Just something else to consider.

I'm sure there is. I imagine the engine would have to be at running temp and you would probly have to pierce a wire to obtain the signal from the sensor. But then I don't know what the correct reading would be anyway.

If the engine is hot but the reading from the coolant temp sensor tells the ECM that the engine is cool then the ECM might respond by restricting fuel flow at some RPMs. The engine could act just like you have a bad fuel pump.

Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong.
