1991 4L80E in 2000?

I was recently given a 1991 K3500 with a near new 4L80E in it.

Question is, will this trans work in my 2000 CCSB? The current 4L80E in it has no reverse.

I'm not scared to modify stuff. Just wondering if it's possible

I was wondering about that. Then I would just need a tune to make truck think it's a manual?

It would likely be easier and cheaper to put a reverse band in your 4L80E though. I'm not sure if that is an option for you. They are bad about the reverse band burning out. Pretty quick fix.
