I chased soft pedal issues and a brake warning light constantly lit from a hard assed panic stop about a month and a half ago. Changed new master cylinder twice thinking the first relacement was faulty since it did not correct the problem. Front n rear brakes were redone about 6 months prior to this issue. Bled damn near 2 quarts of fluid thru the system.
Finally i decided to just disconnect RWAL line from the proportioning valve and directly hook brake line up bypassing it altogether. I got my old brake pedal feel back. A hard, high, normal feeling pedal, and great stopping. I then removed the RWAL box, and solenoid. Tucked the RWAL plug into my trucks harness to get it out of the way, and cut the RWAL mounting tabs off the proportioning valve mount. Time to drop this horse **** in the scrap bucket. Prob the best mod i made next to the Jeep shaft mod. Cleans up that part of the engine bay rather nicely too, and a bonus my brake fluid is now super clean.
