Hey guys,

I need some help. I need to replace the Idler Arm in my 1990 454ss. I know that the suspension is beefed up a little on this version and the only parts catalog doesn't include this truck. Any one know the correct AC Delco Part number? Also, does Moog make a superior part and if so, would the K6483T be the right part? Thanks for the help!

GM parts giant does not carry. How about Moog? 90, C1500.
Helps if let us know, year, make, model. This maybe look like it? You could take the Delco number to Moog and cross it, not hard.

right... I know that I can enter 1990 C1500 and get results but my question was around the 454ss version. They came stock with heavier springs, upgraded shocks, bigger sway bar. Is the idler arm the same as the normal C1500?

Did you try entering your vin on gmpartsgiant.com?

If 454SS was different I think you'd see it listed as such in catalog listings. Suspension and steering are two different things. Heavier suspension doesn't necessarily equate to heavier steering components. Buy the better one, professional series, Moog problem solver line, etc.

Have oyu t

Beat me to it. I just entered one I found on an ebay listing and got an OEM part # and easily crossed it to a whole list of 'em on Rock..

Richard
They(RockAuto) do list a Standard and a HD idler. OP you can go to Mevotech site, enter your vin and should show whether Standard or HD as they also make both for a 1990 C1500.
