305 died, time for a swap and found a 400
So I have found a 400 small block and would like to put it in place of the 305 that spun a bearing at only 161 thousand miles. My biggest question is my truck is a '97 with vortec fuel injection, will that bolt over to the 400? And other than a custom tune to adjust the fuel supply what else...- black97305

Do you think it can do it?
I'm looking at getting a 28 foot Holiday Rambler travel trailer. Would be towing it with my 97 k1500 305, I do have trailer brakes and would get a weight distributing hitch if I get the trailer. It dies then I turn the key and it will come back to life (5 times in an hour)
Ok so I let my mom drive my truck today, '97 305 vortec, and it stalled out in the drive when she was backing out, turned the key to off and restarted the truck just fine so I wrote it off. Is it just me or is this a common problem?
When I shift into 4x4 it takes about 20 seconds for 4x4 light to come on and it actually engage. Is there any way to make it so when I pull the shifter it locks right in?- black97305
