98 chevy suburban 5.7 won't start

I installed a brand new distributor from summit all aluminum deal and I am going home tonight and making sure the timing is absolutely correct, and I'll check compression on all cylinders tonight I checked 6 of the 8 I figured if 6were good all 8 would be good, but I will check all 8 tonight

i havnt im currently overseas so i cant really take care of stuff like that, ive sent a couple of emails to a couple of schools nd got nothing back, my wife is home and she said she would look into it for me, but has been terribly busy so i was trying to just find out if anyone on here had done...

Muffler Recommendations? 5.7L TBI, single, cat removed.

im running flowmaster super 40 and it sounds mean it a duel in duel out set up and i have it dumped right in front on the rear axle!! i have the meanest sounding truck in my neighborhood!!!

Catalytic converters

right now im running a high flow cats from flowmaster, they were a direct bolt on for the duel set up. i removed the stock cats at 184,000 miles. wish i would have taken pics of the stock and the high flows cause the difference was crazy. the ones from flowmaster was mandrel bent and they flow...

Air Intakes?

i have a k&n and it does a awesome job, really woke up the sleeping beast! it was alittle bit of a pain to install and keep it on the throttle body but i got it figured out and i wouldnt buy another one!!

Huge increase in gas mileage... What could cause this?

i have a 98 suburban and i get 18-19 on the highway w/ the 3rd seat in it and i get 19-20 w/o the 3rd seat and i get 14-15 and 15-16 in the city, now of course it also depends on what gas i get if i buy the 7-11 gas it hurts it, if i buy bp or shell gas i get a lil bit better mileage like maybe...

i bought my truck with 83,000 miles on her and the day i bought i i used valvoline high mileage 5w-30 synthetic blend and i have used it ever since! i now have over 185,000 on the same engine and i use the fram tough guard filter with it. my grandpa and dad both believe in sticking to ine brand...

How often do yo replace you cap and button?

when i first got my truck i would buy the cheap ones and i kept having to change then out every 6-12 months, after doing that for about 2 yrs i went to napa and bought one of there cap rotor buttons and i have been on that one for 2 yrs now and when i get home im doing a tune up in spring plugs...

i just wish i had the time to do it! my wife mentioned it to me and i very particular about having people working in my truck, mainly me! like you said it is probably a crap shoot!! i just want the rust taken care of before i get to ohio and the crappy salt they use up there eats my truck up!

Winter/Off road tires

i have general grabber at2 these tires are great ive had them on my truck for 3yrs and they are just now showing wear, ive been in snow, sand, a lil bit of mud, and the road they are great tires i will buy another pair! great tires!! i have put about 40,000 miles on them!
