Well, the "donor " truck is purchased...almost.. lol..waiting on corporate paperwork. I can't get it until all the t's are crossed and i's dotted. I haven't even had a chance to get down to the storage yard and take measurements. Looks like this project will kick off further into the winter then...

I did consider the body swap. I need the tahoe...3 kids lol...so the pick up just won't work for me. Plus I would have the benifit of the 2500 chassis. Plus the Tahoe has a bit of sentimental value to my wife (read...I can't get rid of it) so I may as well make what I want with what I got. Time...

Intake Gasket Replacement

Just to add a lil info, be sure to check the intake bolts for corrosion. Mainly the ones around the coolant passages. We have a fleet of vortec 305's so we do these on almost a daily basis. We keep intake bolts in stock because 9 times out of ten, they will be eaten away right about the middle...
