Smoothing interior parts for painting ?

I've been looking at some pics and threads of custom interiors for our trucks and was wondering what the process is for smoothing the plastic interior parts such as the dash face plate in order to do a professional paint job on them ? Definently something I wanna do Thanks !

Swap in 9.25" Heavy half diff or leave stock 8.25"

Ok thanks guys . I just assumed that the "heavy half" diff I have was a 9.25" , so maybe it is just a 8.25" . I'll have to check. One thing I do know for sure is that this "heavy half" diff definently has bigger axel tube, (I'm actually not sure what you call that tube that extends to where you...

Hey guys I just put a 6" RCD lift in my 1998 chev k 1500 half ton with 35" tires (Build thread coming soon !!! ) and I am going to re-gear it to 4.56s . I'm running a 14 bolt semi floating rear end with 3.73s right now But I'm trying to decide if I should just re gear my stock 8.25"...

Color matched rock guard ?

Okay so I just found out that I have a 14 bolt rear end which means I have a 9.5" housing and a G80 carrier right ??

Alright thanks guy ! I was leaning towards the 4.56s but now I think im gunna go with the 4.10s because I do way more highway driving then mudding but I do plan to do some more motor and tranny work like then Black Bear tune , headers , shift etc. how is that bb tune anyways ? Better mpgs ? More...

thanks guys ! My main concern is the 4:10s not turning the 35s not good enough it the mud but the 4:56s being a pain to drive on the highway with, high rpms , horrible gas mileage ... Etc . Thoughts ? is there a good median in gearing between 4:10s and 4:56s ? Also what websites can I order...

Also I'm deciding on what to do inside the diffs to handle the 35" tires . I use this truck as my daily driver but also my play toy . I'm thinking either 4.10s or 4.56 gears with an auburn locker that my buddies giving me out of a 95" k1500 ( should work right ) any thoughts or suggestions ?
