He's got a '90,no airbag!
The rag joint may be bad and more than likely is but the OP is asking about slop at the top of the telescoping shaft and what I'm seeing looks like the lower column bearing is worn out and allowing to shaft to walk back and forth.
Elliot, can you put up a video of what...
Yeah,HEI fires like the hammer of Thor. If you ever want to see something cool pull all the wires and coil cover off and turn the motor over. Blue Oyster Cult's got nothing on that light show.
Replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor on an Olds. 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 right? Fired it up and spit, pop fire out the carb,,,WTF? Forgot the Olds dist. turns CCW
Probably glazed the plugs. Pull all the plugs. Remove the coil wire from the dist. cap and ground it. Remove the injector wires. Hold the throttle to the floor and crank it for about ten seconds to dry the intake and cylinders. Install new plugs and hook everything back up. Should fire right up!
Not sure how this plays into the discussion other than IAT and air/fuel density but I'm planning to run a '87 454 TB with the TB to spread bore adapter that GM used back then. I'm guessing that adapter was plumbed into one of the heater hoses as it has water passages through it. When I was...

It looks like I may have gotten lucky. My motor already has the correct flexplate on it.
Rrrrrrrrr! I hate it when you're right,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just kidding!
OK, If I want to run it behind a '79 motor I will have to buy or make an adapter plate. Is it a favorable core for rebuilding? Worth paying for the plate?
The guy I got this from has a shop with probably a dozen Chevy trucks out front, looks like that's all they do and they've been there a long time. According to him these tranny's will bolt to a Gen1,you just don't use the 7th hole at the top. I'll do some more research to see what it takes to...
Hey Nick,
I picked this up for $100 Please tell me I can use this in my '91 with park/neutral switch on the column, running a '95 PCM that has 4L60-E control.
The BBC comes up '07 4.3L 1/2 ton 2WD. Yeah,I'll have to put more clutches in it.
That doesn't sound like a transmission problem, sounds like an engine problem. First thing I would be checking would be a clogged catalytic convertor, the second would would be fuel pressure. Just because a fuel pump is new doesn't mean it's any good.
In your case yes. The hardware needed to flash your own chips is way less than $400. The downside is speed. You will have to datalog multiple passes and re-burn chips until you get it where you want it. If you use EEPROMS like the 27SF512 you can erase and re-flash until you get your tune the...
After doing a little research it looks like you will have to use a stand alone trans controller if your going to run the EBL.
The Motortronic Cobra R6 has emulation and can be used with PCM's that have trans control such as the 16197427.
But,,,,,,,,,,I just checked that out and he's OOS.
