    Scotty.92 `The Resurrection` 98 Sierra K1500 - Build.

You will need to reinforce the 1/2 ton chassis to handle the torque from the dmax. I would go the LS swap route myself but if you are set on diesel OBS I would find a clean 2500/3500 for your build. Just my 0.02

    98 Sierra 1500 4x4

Thanks. I actually just sold the RCSB. I have two other trucks and decided to build something a bit different. I have been trying to find a nice 68 Firebird to replace the Silverado :)

LT4 hot cam and 1.6 ratio rocker arms

http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/148-0208-vortec-heads-valve-lift/ This is basically what I did with the GM Hotcam kit. If there are other parts available that require no machine work I was not aware. "The larger spring and increased lift figures require opening up the spring-seat diameter...

LT4 hot cam and 1.6 ratio rocker arms

Yes, you will need to machine the valves guides if you use GM LT4 Hotcam and the GM 1.6 rockers (.525/.525 lift).

    Tall valve covers

EDIT: Yes they are the Proform covers. I need another breather to replace fill tube that wouldn't fit.

See last page in my build thread (link in sig) for how I modified the A/C compressor and bracket.

I was under the impression we can delete A/C. Just need the pulley from GM or another model that came without AC. Maybe someone else can confirm.

Best Cam for '96 Yukon - L31 Engine

EDIT: this post was meant for Tall Valve Covers thread. Lol. Installed motor with LT4 Hotcam. Some small mods are required. I am still sorting a few out but here is what I did to a/c compressor to clear tall valve covers. I took off one corner of the bracket and had to file the housing a little...

Rough Country 4"/6" kit install tips.

No still the stock drive shaft. That's good info to know, thanks. I will take a look in to it if the wheel balance doesn't sort it out. UPDATE: The wheels were way out of balance. The Dynabeads weren't doing a damn thing. Re-balanced with stick on wheel weights and no more vibrations.

Rough Country 4"/6" kit install tips.

Cool thanks. I think that is how I installed it. Hmmm. Not sure what's going on then. Might get tires rebalanced. They threw Dynabeads in them.

Rough Country 4"/6" kit install tips.

Anybody having driveshaft angle issues? I am getting a vibration over 100km/h (62MPH). I can't remember what the lift blocks looks like but anyone have a picture of theirs installed? Lift block taper to the front or to the back??? Here are the only pics I have that show my angles:

Damn, well that's disappointing. I will still give them a shot but will try to find some VHT high temp paint for them.

    98 Sierra 1500 4x4

Time for more power Ordered the stock GM 350 HD crate and doing the LT4 Hotcam w/ 1.6 rockers and I can finally use my set of Flowtech shorty headers I got like 2 years ago. The heads are being port/ polished and machined to accept the higher lift. I am still debating the 411 swap or just stick...

Maybe not but it will help a bit with the big tires. I don't want to go to 4.56.
