    sas minimum lift

I have about 4" up travel when my bumpstops hit, it probably has 2" until the ubolts contact the frame and/or the differential hits the pitman arm. As far as down travel goes, I'm using every bit of a 11" travel shock.

has anyone on here done hydro assist this way?

I did it this way. Never took the box apart, never had any problems; been running the same box since 2010, even still since I took off the cylinder and plugged the holes. One thing to consider also is on the high pressure left turn (upper hole) you only need to drill it 0.94" as not to...

coil sas with 33's or 2852

Here is a friend of mine's we swapped a few years ago. It's about the same height as my silver truck (~5" of lift) or maybe a little taller with 33s on 17x9 wheels.

Oh my! Your parts list that is above totals to what I have in the complete front half of my swap. If I had left my rear alone (with the block and AAL that was from the Fabtech kit) and kept the 10bolt, I had ~$1500 in my swap. Are you sure you need everything listed? You are missing A LOT...

Finally Doing It! 1999 K3500 Crew Cab SAS Build Up Project

I would wait till you drive it to claim you're unhappy with them (you may be unhappy, you may be happy (I'd wait to claim quality after a few miles to get used to the new suspension)). They'll probably ride pretty good, being the amount of sprung weight your truck has and the low spring rate of...

    SAS? How many inches?

I ran 37" Boggers on 6" of lift; although, my axle is pushed ~3" forward. There is minimal work done to the rear of the fender but my bumper is trimmed pretty good.

ROCK SLIDERS PICTURE PLEASE 2 DR HOE

I have the 67" Trail-Gear sliders on my fiance's S10. They fit pretty well under the cab and look real nice, especially now that it has a truck cab on it. Put some non-skid tape down the outside tube so when climbing into the bed you don't slip off and fall in whatever you're stuck in. From...

    Project: SAS Tow Rig

I am one of the few on the board that has actually been for a ride in this truck, here is my opinion on it; since Drew no longer owns the vehicle nor frequents forums any more. The only time I have been in it was right after we finished the axle swap and took it around the block to see how it...

    Notching frame

What all are you looking for as far as under the truck? Photos of brackets? Here is some of my hangers. You can get it lower than mine (about 5" of lift) if you use a smaller spring pack (mine is a factory 6+1 leaf pack without the overload (the zerorate is gone now too)), a factory...

    SAS FRONT DRIVESHAFT

If you turned down the BW yoke to (just guessing here) the same diameter as the seal surface, then bored a Saginaw flange to have a close interface fit with a contact area ~.75" in length I highly doubt you would have much trouble out of it. You also could bore a piece of plate steel (not sure...

    SAS FRONT DRIVESHAFT

That is what I would do, without a doubt. It's not like you would be out much of anything (other than machine time, a Saginaw flange yoke and welding comsumables) if it DIDN'T work.

    Grooving your own tires VID

Just be careful, these irons don't worry about the cords at all (like a hot knife through butter if you will), if you plan to give yourself an extra few miles on your tires make sure you don't go too deep. I hit the cords quite a few times on my tires, not worried though it's 100% bog truck...

    Opinions on front axle

Perhaps your searches haven't brought you upon this quite popular topic. Yes, they did make passenger drop np241; some with cable speedometer and others with electronic speedometer (you make the choice on which to use). The np241 and np208 are about on the same level as duty level.

sas stock 52's up front pics and measure request?

There is a lot of confusion. In a '73-'87 truck; going from factory height front 47s (0" lift) to factory height rear 52s (0" lift), one will gain 4". In the day (when 52" spring swaps were ju-ju) the typical axle swap brackets (ie. ORU, ORDirect, ORDesign, Sky, etc) give a certain amount of...

    Project: BootyFab

Thanks. I did not have to move it forward. I did it for clearance, as of now I can run my 37" Boggers; try that with a IFS kit at 5" without cutting up the fenders. From the geometry of leaf springs, with a positive arch and the shackle in the rear and shackle hanger below the level of the...
