ok... thanks guys. this motor has an unknown mileage on it. the guy i bought it off of says its about 180kms but who actually knows. it just has to last until i get my 383 built for it. Thanks a lot gents!

Hey guys, so i have my motor out right now doing a swap and while i had the oil pan off, a guy i know, who builds motors, tapped the rod end caps on my 1&2 cylinder and they sound hollow, the rest sound nice and solid. the motor doesn't knock when running, but i want to replace the bearings on...

98 5.7 vortec to 383

I have the old motor out of my truck which is from a 98 K1500 with a stock 5.7L vortec. Blew the head gasket. I want to use what i can(recycle if you will) from the motor and build a solid 383 as close to the HT383e, that will still work with as much of my electrical as possible. Can anyone...

5.7L to a 6.0L

would a 2wd transmission be able to convert to a 4wd? and I have a line on a 05 motor with 54k on it. now he has the harness, ecm and everything else ill need except the transfer case. Silly question but is the ecm and pcm the same thing?

Ok... so what I got from all that is I'll need new mounts, fuel pump and a wiring harness? still completely lost tho. Im just confused as to the harness and if the two have to be married or if the custom harness will be a plug and play.

I have a 98 sierra that recently blew the head gasket out of it on a highway. I'm wanting to swap to a 2006 gm 6.0L vortec but I'm not sure how well it will bolt in. The major issue I'm gonna have is all the PCM and electronic issues. I am looking for some help here to see if anyone can...
