LT tire on one side, P on the other??

They SHOULD effectively be the same size tire as they both have the same dimensions. However, you MAY find that the p's shorten up a bit because they tend to have slightly weaker sidewalls, but it's not enough to worry about any axle or diff damage/accelerated wear. IMO the Light Truck tires are...

Bad Gas Mileage? Tips or Improvments?

if you ever smell fuel after you come to a stop at a mcd's or a garage or something I'd check for leaks up and down your lines.. other then that it's tune up time and better gearing.

wynjammer supercharger any knowledge on them

idk..I know there's a website and all..but I'd have a hard time trusting it. Its not only because of the supposedly bigger injectors, but thats a very large part of it seeing as how NOONE else has found a way to make bigger stock-style injectors for the Vortec 350's..

and with a larger bore you get a larger combustion chamber, which means you have larger everything in the chamber.. so no not technically interchangeable in the fullest sense of the word. The other advantage the 350 has over the 305 is longevity, as the 350's rings don't wear out as fast...

So, what else are we needing on gmt400.com?

something I always found a lot of use out of was a library or archive of some sort where all of the write ups, maintenance walk throughs, specs, history pages, etc. were all on one page but in its own sub group on that page. It also cuts down a lot on repetitive questions because people can go...

hah its probably wrong or an off the wall thing but it's just how I've heard other people call it. Everywhere else its probably just called split rear exhaust (which to me personally sounds like ya split your pants:Big Laugh:), but fme that refers to exhausts that come straight out the back...

A line bore is for getting the circle back in the crankshaft bearing arcs and caps, most often when people can't reuse their bearing caps in exactly the same places. While typically the heads come off anyway for ease of handling, it's not for boring out the cylinders which yes require the heads...

    Need fuel pump help!!!

I see your point, but if you use a low speed setting and a reinforced disk spark isn't really a problem. After you get about half way down you could probably bend/break it off if you can get the tank to move enough. Other then that though I can't think of much else besides bones idea of using a...

    Need fuel pump help!!!

if I understand correctly you're replacing the whole in-tank pump assembly? if so can you just cut the line extentions off of the pump before it connects to the actual line and then disconnect whats left with the whole pump out of the way?

    96 gmc 1500 2wd

The problem with the 305 is..well, its a dog..nothing like the old 302's, not that great of number's, etc. What most people do is just swap in a 350 (there's no replacement for displacement). Because of that there's not much aftermarket support, and because of that it's oodles cheaper just to...

    Tune Question

If you have them tune a different computer then what came with your engine from the factory and then you use it then yes, there's a 99.9999% chance you're gonna have to do the crank relearn process. It's all gotta do with how the computer reads the information it's given, your buddy probably got...

    TOTM Suggestions

Over on therangerstation.com they have a really good arrangement for totm. Maybe some pointers could be had from there to here, my favorite part of it is after you have 12 winners per 12 months then at the end a vote is held for the toty (year). Another good thing they have is it's divided up...

20 year old from the PA boonies

Hows it goin? My names Stewart and I'm from the REALLY small town of Brooklyn, PA. Currently I own a 1993/94 Ford Ranger STX that I built from the ground up, including putting another 4.0 v6/5 speed trans & tcase in it. I also modded it rather well, including but not limited to a 3" body lift...
