    Swap Wiring GBCM

    Has anyone kept or deleted the Generator Battery Control Module (GBCM) from a swap harness? I'm swapping an 05 Tahoe 5.3 in an 89 C1500. I done with the pin-outs from LT1Swap.com and he has notes to delete the GCBM, but I've also read deleting it puts additional wear and tear on the Alternator...

    Distributor; is this bad?

    89 C1500 5.7, engine lost power and stalled when I step on the gas. Only running on about 1/2 the cylinders, I pulled the distributor cap and the star wheel in the distributor was disintegrated. So far I've ordered a new distributor, plugs, wires, and I'll go from there.
