    Hesitation

My truck is a 97 ECLB dually. 454/4L80E and at slow speeds like moving around the yard or in a parking lot at the store and just above 1,000 rpm the engine surges up to 1,400 or so then back down. What's causing this? The truck has the common hot start issues and I'm gathering the parts to fix...

Thanks! I like the bug flector and the screen print of the flag and eagle in the rear camper top window, they are staying! I plan to add the same screen print to the truck for when the camper comes off.

The steps are absolutely functional I just dislike the look. I want to look into a powered step that will fold up and out of the way, but it has to be a solid design being that I'm a pretty big guy.

Even in 4low the 245 street treads didn't like the sand with 11,000 lbs in tow. Lol

For now I think that's it. The truck is a Chevrolet so I'm thinking I want to go back to a Silverado grill. I like the 92 Silverado grill.

Thanks! The previous owner told me he took it to a shop to have a ticking exhaust manifold gasket changed and the grease monkey broke the coolant temp sensor in the head. He didn't realize there was a problem till the engine was cooked.

Thanks it's not perfect but it ain't ugly. This is taking my camper to the glades a few weeks ago. And tonight after finishing the tow mirror install. I don't like the steps either they just haven't made it to the scrap pile yet. Eventually though lol.

Figured I'd start a build thread on my new to me truck. It's a 1997 ECLB 4x4 dually. 454/4L80E. It has 86,000 miles and 5,000 miles on a brand new GM Crate engine. I'm the 3rd owner, the previous owner was a maintenance nut and had a pretty healthy file of maintenance paperwork including...

    American made Tow mirrors

Does anybody have a line on American made tow mirrors, or at least a brand they've had good success with? I bought a set branded US Stock from eBay in hopes they were good quality. They arrived today and on first inspection I was pleased but in preparation to do the install I tested the power...

Thanks! I'm looking forward to leveling it out and adding some traction. I have to put it in 4 wheel in the sand on my property otherwise it hops the rear end lol. Plus I'm reading the build thread that was mentioned a couple comments ago. Getting lots of ideas lol

I will look into the 255s! My commute in the summertime will require driving trough some sandy/muddy areas so I was hoping to have a decent foot print. But maybe a 255 with a all terrain tread or mud terrain will work out. That being said looking at the route of 285s and 2" steel spacers with...
