    If I'm all ready running at higher speeds I can rev match but the transmission doesn't like it. And the clutch pressure feels the same whether it's going into gear or WONT go into gear. I just find that odd.

    Mine is a 14 bolt semi floater with 3.73 gears. And yes it is an 8 lug. And thanks for the info and pictures. I would be comfortable towing quite a bit of weight with that truck but if the ratings are that low, I might just get another diesel..

    The gooseneck has trailer brakes and I will be installing a trailer brake controller before I ever pull it. Just wanted to know if the engine with a little work could handle it. The truck has 1 ton axles under it. I have pulled a bumper pull with a front end loader and a brush hog on the back...

    Not sure on the mileage of the motor because the odometer is broke but I do know it is strong (because of driving 5 of them) And I live in Oklahoma so I'm not too worried about hills. Some hills but not big hills anyway. Trailer weighs around 6,500 lbs. so it'd probably be towing more than...

    Well I've got a semi floater and I don't want to replace that. I don't want to go 4.56 maybe 4.10 but I'm all ready at 3,150 rpm with 3.73 gears unloaded at 70 mph.

    Well I was hoping to only spend at the most about $2500. I can spend more but wanted to put the money into the body and painting it to make it look presentable. High in customers like mine probably won't like an old beat up truck lol
