Heat not working

Had 99 jeep that would not blow hot air and it turned out to be the water pump. There were no vanes left on the pump.

How to short/bypass window switch?

The switch comes apart and you can clean the contacts. I've done this on my 98 C1500 and my wife's 08 Silverado a few times to get it to work.

Replacing Power Steering Speed Sensor

I replaced the sensor on the column with a simple voltage divider circuit. I used a 16k resistor and a 3.3k resistor. The 16k connected to sensor return (ground) the orange/black wire, the 3.3k connected to +5 vdc the grey wire. Then I connected the light blue wire to the connection of the two...

98 k1500 with 5.7 Vortec emission monitors

My 99 classic was having similar issues. I found that I had a bad positive battery cable. The truck would start and run fine but sitting overnight there was enough voltage drop because of the cable my ECU would set the monitors to not ready.

Standard or extended

Extended cab for me, being 6'4" I like that my head is not up against the back window.
