LT1 2nd gen version power steering question
Ok, have an 89 C1500 I am swapping a 92 vette LT1 into. Have the vette accesories and brackets, all that jazz. Swapping to carb so no wiring issues. How to control torque convertor clutch with no computer, 89 C1500
Im converting my 89 C1500 to a Holley, big aluminum racing heads, blah blah blah. Obviously, the ecm will not be controlling the engine anymore. Changing from 2.73 gears to lower gears carrier question
My 89 GM 10 bolt 8.5 inch rear has 2.73 gears in it. I want to put at least 3.73 ratio gears in it but not sure if the original carrier will need to be changed. I havent dealt with the 10 bolts much but know the old Chevelle 12 bokts used two different carriers depending on what ratio gears...- MarkZ28

14 bolt ff into 89 c1500, will it bolt in?
tried doing a search, had fun reading about all kinds os stuff, learned about how to convert a ff to disc brakes, different styles, etc.. Couldnt find out if it would swap though. Just got an 89 C1500, 147000 miles, 350, 700R4, Silverado trim, no rust, no big dents. Needs tires, water pump, and idler arm. Had a 90 stepside before, so my second GMT400 truck.
