Weird Front Diff/Axle clunk - Front wheels bind?? HELP Please!!!!

thanks for the input.... i guess i should have eliminated the more obvious first (i like to freak myself out first). I jacked it back up and spun the tires more and it seemed to be coming from the hub area. I remove the calipers and it spins freely and no more clunk. I put the calipers back on...

It has fresh gear oil in it. I grabbed the front wheel and tried to check for play like if it was a bearing and no play.

First Post 1999 GMC K2500 Crew Cab

Yeah, currently I just plugged the holes with some plastic plugs. The previous owner had bullet stickers over them. Glad to know others have had high mileage out of these.
