aftermarket grille ?

I want to switch my 89 C1500 to 94 C1500 grille and composite headlights.

Are all the aftermarket grilles and headlights created equal or is there a best brand?

I'd strongly recommend sticking to OEM. Every aftermarket grille I've seen has seemed cheap and/or flimsy in one area or another.

I bought a cheap one on eBay and I’ve been disappointed with it since. One of the mounting points on the lower driver side broke so it sticks out. Also, the center bar where the bowtie goes is not as tall as the OEM grille so the emblem looks funny.

I’ll definitely be replacing it with a proper OEM grille soon.

x3 on the OEM grille, I ran a cheap Chinese grill I pulled at the junkyard; hated it, it fit weird, the brackets for it were broken so I couldn't really tighten it down all the way, overall just a poor product. The original Chevy grill was the same way, cheap knockoff.

I scored an OEM GMC grill and I've never been happier with the quality, solid fit and no cracks anywhere.

by looking at the posts its seems all the aftermarket grilles are created equal, all cheaply made...

I can only say from my experience is to get all of the reviews and try some out. I saved a lot of money, and still got the look that I wanted. The grill was from eBay, but reputable, the headlights were spider, and the turn signal and side markers were some off brand. I get a little blow up with water, in the turn signal, but it dries out ok.
