That thing makes a Ranch Hand look like a bumper made from conduit and cardboard, this thing'll kill the cow AND the farmer; looks beefy as hell and pretty solid! How much does that sucker weigh?
I think it's about 300 pounds with the winch. It was on my other truck F250 and I had to go put some Deaver springs in it. X code was the snow plow prep package from Ford.
I had it powder coated but it was flaking off. I was hunting and I did hit a wild boar. Put a dent in the bottom edge. But I pretty much turned that thing to sausage.
I was gonna go and do a flip forward hood protector and cage the whole truck but I calculated the added weight around 850 pounds.
So I called it quits there
does look strong. how do you like that Gearvendors? love mine!
I like it. The original one lasted 140,000 mikes. The truck s still on the original clutch with 156,000. The truck is a 4:10 gear. I just towed my GMC down from about 500 mile one way trip so 1,000 mikes basically stopped for fuel grab a bite and load up. I got a new rebuilt one because the clutch was starting to slip on the original. They used to require your old one but they dint do it anymore. But my mpg is about 12 mpg towing and about 17 empty which considering what it is it's not too bad.
I wish the oil changes would be a bit longer than 5k but no big deal. I gotta change the regular engine oil so a extra two bolts isn't a huge issue
80 mph at 2,000 rpm with GV on.
