That Cast-blast is good stuff, I’m really liking the look.
The bushings are actually in pretty good shape, besides I can’t find any, not that I tried very hard.

Had a fun little rigging job with my son today. Went smoothly and according to plan. We’ve got some prep work on the frame and then off to the sandblaster.

Time for a couple of updates. Yesterday I got the fuel gauge adapter fitting from cfm-tech and today I picked up a few things from Summit, including a 0-30# fuel gauge.

I took a few things back to Summit and swapped them out.
One of them was the cam, I traded the 8801 for the 8802.
I had previously bought the Summit branded stainless roller rockers and wasn’t very happy with them. The bearings weren’t very smooth on most of them and I suspect they were made in China. So I switched them with some Comp Cams rockers, they are way smoother and made in America.
I also exchanged the Summit ht214 roller lifters with the ht215 which are also made in America and were cheaper. Never could figure out where the ht214’s were made.

Well I haven’t got anything done on the truck yet. My wife and I took our daughter up snowboarding and then we went to lunch at Lake Tahoe. Not a bad day. Now I’m heading out to the garage to start assembling the front diff.

Got a couple of hours in assembling the front diff. Got the adjusters and races in, then set the carrier in and closed it up. Got the backlash set to .008 then started working on the pattern. I’ve had it apart 3 times and the pinion is still not deep enough. Back at it in the morning. The crush sleeve eliminator should be in the mailbox.

I think it took me about twenty tries on my Mustang's diff.
