I have recently got a 1989 gmc sierra and i was wondering can you use 1st and 2nd gear while rolling? and on the gas. Just curious!
Sure. Provided the engine RPM isn't excessive.

Kinda assuming that this is an automatic trans, and you want to cram the shift lever down to the manual ranges rather than OD or D.

Aside from engine braking, there's not a lot of reason to use the manual ranges in the automatic trans. Maybe for pulling a heavy load at low speed.

1st and 2nd gear.
While rolling.
And on the gas.
Are you trying too neutral drop a 700r4?
Buy AAA roadside coverage
Make sure you download the UBER app first.
Or buy a bus pass.
Good shoes, a warm jacket and a hat.
Maybe a big fat joint and some snacks to settle you down before the transmission shop shows you the invoice.

Give the guy some slack. He did state he's "on the gas"....

Now Collin go easy on them there Busch lights. And to answer your question.
When you've been drinking you should not be driving, but in a pinch and if not on public roads... yes, staying in first and maaayyybe second gear is the way to go.

Oviously, this guy needs the 700R4 , to do the thinking for him. ( him/her)...

And adjust the TV cable while you're at it. :banghead:
