Sorry I've been busy and thought I would get an email when someone posted but I didn't.Any pictures of the tps and the tach signal wire and trans wire would be very much so appreciate
Anyway, the computer needs a tach signal and the throttle position sensor to shift the 4l60e correctly. It gets the tach from the crankshaft position sensor and since I don't use it anymore you take the signal wire from the crankshaft position sensor, think it's purple, connect it AND the white tach signal wire from your old coil to the tach side of your new hei distributor. I also used the ignition power wire from the old coil to the battery side of the hei distributor. Just make sure your grounds are connected. My vortec has 3. One at the front right lower at the crankshaft position sensor, one on the rear of the head on the right, and one on the front left behind the power steering.
Holley sells a throttle position sensor kit to mount to their carb but I wanted to use a Edelbrock to I used this one. https://hgmelectronics.com/products/acculink-tps-kit
Set up is fairly simple and just use the wires from your old tps sensor.
Here are some pictures but they ain't very good.
Again, sorry it's been so long.
