Disco rear bumper upgrade

Exactly, that was the intent. I don't add any "armor" until I damage something a few times and get tired of doing body work. Since this mod, all I've done as far as paint and body, is $.99 walmart flat black.. so nice.

Yea, I will Sat. Seriously though, it's just a piece of channel plate slide between the frame rails with a winch sitting on it. I'll knock it out this evening and send it home with Lindsey.

New Y-Pipe, 2 1/4", modified for d-shaft clearance. Paint only peeled where I primed it first... and the rest...

http://www.gmfullsize.com/forum/showthread.php?t=128363&page=2 It's just a channel plate slide between the frame rails with the winch sitting in it. When you say winch block, do you mean the fairlead? I think the fairlead is an important part of being able to use the winch.

I like it, probably because it's quieter than the junk it replaced, and it feels like it has a little more pep. Kinda sounds like a glass pack, only lots quieter and no "crackle" on decel.

Sure thing. Well I have a welder, but I'm not a welder, if you get my drift. The y-pipe turned out pretty sweet. The bullet muffler went in the cat position, and the extra 2-1/4 bends in above pics were to modify the left side for d-shaft clearance. I painted the y with bbq paint also...

Busted.:uhoh2: This was my favorite rendition of your truck, and pretty much my end goal. I think this will be an awsome compromise of DD, weekend warrior, crawler, mud pit king and yard tractor. In other words, jack of all trades, master of none. Kinda fits my persona. BTW, never did...

New exhaust for the Disco

The exhaust on my truck had been mangled, partially ripped off, modified multiple times, and in general, looked and sounded like ass. I ordered a straight stick of pipe, a Hooker Aerochamber, a y-pipe, and a bullet type muffler from Jegs. A friend gave me an old diesel exhaust (mandrel bends)...

After damaging and repairing my lower rear bedsides so much the metal had fatigued enough to start tearing, I decided something else needed to be done. Old timers will notice I just stole someone else's idea. Lopped off the damaged area and removed rear bumper.. Sectioned factory mounts...
