    Removing 4L80e PLEASE HELP

Just found where the extra male connector went. So im still unsure why my 97 doesnt have an output shaft sensor but the 96 does. Also still need to figure out the tranny lines on the 96 4L80e. Is the feed closer to the front and return closer to the rear? Theyre only about an inch and half...

    Removing 4L80e PLEASE HELP

Discovered that this rear connection is the output shaft sensor. Is it weird that the 97 4l80e did not have a connection for this? I also have an extra connection that does not plug into anything coming from the transmission wiring harness. Its a 3 prong male connector with purple on it.

Sorry for the late reply but eneded up getting out by rotating the trnasmission completely sideways (crazy i know) got the new one in by ratchet strapping transfer case to the torison bar crossmember, jacking up the tranny, bolting it on, then working the tranny and transfer case together...

New Y pipe for new headers?

So you're saying if I install the new cat and headers and its running choppy I should just get a heated o2 sensor? And I'd just wire it to come on when I turn to the key on?

New Y pipe for new headers?

Just took a look and 95 chev you're right, there's just one o2 sensor right before the cat, and if I replaced the cat and headers I don't think it would effect it. I'm going to do some more research online though because I know in the past I've read "y pipe will solve most problems" when...

New Y pipe for new headers?

Are you sure? I've been reading thread upon thread about how people install new headers and there truck starts to run like . Most seem to be resolved by a y pipe or a specific type of sensor.

New Y pipe for new headers?

I'm still looking around but I'm leaning towards some Gibson 120 tuned shortys (around $350). If anyone else has good some good suggestions it'd be appreciated.

New Y pipe for new headers?

I was told if you get a new y pipe it usually corrects most emission/ o2 sensor issues, is this true? And if so, why?

New Y pipe for new headers?

About to order an edlebrock cam and lifter set so of course I'm going to need some new headers. Also shipping in a high flow cat because still have to pass emissions. I was just wondering if I needed a new Y pipe. I've been hearing that with new headers alot of people have problems with...

Reverse lights not working. Please Help

I'm not sure what you mean by jump out the switch. I tested the switch with a test light with the key in the "on" position and went from neutral to first to reverse and it never lit, I tried both terminals within the switch too. Yet the the part that plugs into the switch (not sure exactly what...

Reverse lights not working. Please Help

So there's no way to replace the "nub"? I haven't looked at it yet to see what you're talking about. And when you say you tried different length switches to no avail are you saying the toggle switch you wired up didn't work?

Reverse lights not working. Please Help

Have had no reverse lights since I bought the truck and I'm finally sick of it. Replaced the bulbs, nothing. Not sure if there is specifically a reverse light fuse but all the rear light fuses are fine. Figured the only other thing it could be is the reverse safety switch that's located on the...
