    Taxing Tachometer install ?

I'm trying to a in dash tachometer in my 88 Blazer. Using LMC parts, but I'm not sure this is going to work out. It would have to go where the gas tank gauge is. Is it possible or am I just looking for trouble.

    The unrelenting Code 42 ?

HI Folk's, I wanted to shear my story about my "Service Engine Soon" it was a code 42 when I pulled the codes, So in the end I did every thing except pull my heir out. I posted my plight on a lot of Truck website. By this point I had a 3 month $895.00 Code 42. So one day a guy posted this, "...

I want some of what this guy is smoking

Well a truck is a truck. To this guy he had cash and was around Pepboys or J.C.Witneys store. Although if you look at the accel plug wires I can see why he keeps a fire extinguisher bolted on the passengers wheel well.

What should I expect vs my 2012 Tahoe handling?

Hay , sorry getting back so slow. We located the drains, and ran water at a slow stream so the dust wasn't agitated and we just keep opening the drain holes. The drain holes are big enough for normal areas, but it's the West Texas, Arizona and New Mexico and so on. The drain holes work but after...

The first one, a 1990 long bed 1500 Slverado.

This is the kind of truck, you get $500.00 a few gas credit cards and a Visa card and point the hood toward California and it will do it and not miss a beat in the whole trip.

No, wheels came right off the shelf. BFG Long Trails were about $135.00, 3" beauty rims right from Ebay.

What should I expect vs my 2012 Tahoe handling?

My 88 K5, as you can see was the second total restore project for me. And with this one the only thing not used from the frame down was the drive shafts and the spindles & Automatic Hubs. I bought this truck from West Texas, like yours, mine had no rust at all but it took 2.5 hours to flush out...

The first one, a 1990 long bed 1500 Slverado.

This is the first truck I completely restored, Jasper engine, overhauled 700/R4 and a limited slip differential. And it's my DD. The MAACO paint job is starting to go the way to the gutter, but we can cross that line in time. One of the best things I ever did was swap out the old GMT 400 Brake...

Where can I find the thread on converting the GMT400-GMT800 MC ?

:smokin:I can't find the thread on doing the conversion from the GMT400 to the GMT 800 MC and the step by step instructions. This conversion worked so well for me that I really think it's a brand new truck. I feel I can carry a 1000 pounds in the bed or tow a 5600 boat trailer now. I added a...

I need a little guidence here about 'Dump valves' Please.

GMT-400 to GMT-800 MC conversion Thank you Wally, I went ahead and installed a new 1990 Chevy 1500 Brake booster and a 174-1003 MC and all I can say as to the remedy of the mushy brake pedal is Hell Yes. I now have brake pedal travel of about 2" and then it's rock solid and you can lock up the...

I need a little guidence here about 'Dump valves' Please.

Hi Kenny, Thank you for the welcome. I called the shop and they broke off a bleed valve, so their waiting on a replacement (I'm assuming it was a wheel cylinder), so I might get it back today, with the GMT800 MC new brake Booster, new front drilled & slotted disc ( Yeah, They have nothing to do...

I need a little guidence here about 'Dump valves' Please.

[FONT=Comic Sans MS]Thanks wally, I'm presently first trying the swap from a GMT 400 to a GMT 800 MC, and since it's apart to that point, I'm putting on a new brake vacuum booster, new pads in front and a multiple power bleed/s. If you drove it, it really feels like air in the system. I want a...

I need a little guidence here about 'Dump valves' Please.

Hi Richard, I got the soft/sloppy brake pedal syndrome that most people tell me is normal ? Now granted, this 1990 Tenn. Hardtop isn't my 2014 GMC Terrain, But I'd be damn scared of putting 1500 pounds in the bed and feeling comfortable coming to a light and someone in front of me jamb on their...

I need a little guidence here about 'Dump valves' Please.

I read so much about the "Isolation / Dump Valve" or "Disc Brake Proportioning valve" that In my head I have one wheel in the mud and the other spinning in the snow. In this pic of my brake MC and 'Valves' do I have either valves on my 1990 Chevy 1500 Silverado 2WD 305 V8 ? Can anyone tell me...
