Thanks guys.. It's an automatic 5.7L with the 3.42 posi rear end. Overall a really clean truck for Ontario and hopefully will be better once it gets a cut and polish. I have the SS rims waiting for new tires as well as new rear bumper rubber trim and some new wheel well moldings coming in...
SO my stepside has been sold for a while now and I was wondering if I would find another clean truck as they are getting harder to find here in the salt belt known as Ontario Canada.
After much disappointment, this little beauty is now in the driveway and I couldnt be happier.
1998 Silverado...
Yep.. I agree. A couple of newer pics after she was cleaned up.... I was going to try and give it a good going over with a cleaner wax to bring up some of the dull finish but it's way too hot outside right now.
So I scrapped the idea of putting red seats into a grey interior as I stumbled across a nice grey bench seat for $100. The old ripped grey bench was hard as a rock and this seat makes driving long distances so much easier.
We have an online classified here in Canada called Kijiji. It is much like the Craigslist classifieds but not as much spam. I found the seats in 2 different cities about 2 hours from the house so it made for a long day of driving but worth it. They have no rips or burns and are really in...
Picked up a couple sets of 60/40 seats for a really great price. Going to either go with the split bench or I have a nice burgundy / red bench that might work for the time being.
You can see the thin layer of oil the previous owner sprayed... It is messy but it also has prevented any rust build up. the underside of the truck is the same...
Thanks..
I was planning on keeping it just in case I do something stupid like break the old one trying to modify it. Aren't they reasonably priced in the US? I look at the LMC catalog and they seem fair compared to what we pay here in Canada.
If for some strange reason I decide to prt with...
Eveready,
It was always a double headlight truck. The truck originally came from the New York area but ended up here in Ontario. I am about 45 minutes north of Toronto and as Bob L asked, I am hoping to do some mods for appearance such as lowering the truck a little, tint and maybe wheels down...
I have just joined so I can hopefully gain more knowledge in learning how to modify my newest truck purchase. It is a 1998 Cheyenne 1500 Stepside with a 5.0L Vortec and auto trans. Original paint but has a new grill and lights just added along with the factory grill I will be painting to match...
