As a matter of fact, I just drove it home from the mechanic's place two days ago.
I had a couple of bad ground wires that were causing some voltage issues. (originally thought it was an alternator problem) Fixed those and found a burnt connector on the 3-2 control solenoid. Replaced solenoid...
P0785 Shift Solenoid
I replaced those- didn't fix it.
Went back in a second time and replaced all the electronics and wire harness in the pan, replaced throttle position sensor- didn't fix it.
It will run perfectly when I first crank up, for a couple of miles to the first corner I make and when...
Did you get any codes when yours went in to limp mode? I think I'm having a low voltage problem also, but every time it starts limping, I get a shift solenoid code. Is that code thrown automatically because the lack of voltage is making the solenoids act up?
Never mind- I figured it out. You have to remove the accumulator- I think that's what it's called.
But it didn't fix anything. I replaced all the electronics and the harness. Same problem! Drives perfect until I stop and the next leg of the trip, it goes to limp mode. ????
Can it be a low...
I have a 98 4L60E. Is it possible to remove the wire harness on the valve body without removing the valve body? I want to replace all my electronics but don't really want to fart with removing the body. It looks like the accumulator is too close to the EPC solenoid to remove that solenoid and...
Don't do like me and set them too low. When you put the cowl back on, it will hit the ribs on it and you'll have to remove it and do it all over again. Might want to set the cowl back in place when you adjust them to be sure they are still in the slot.
Boy I feel like an idiot. That's what was said a few post earlier! I guess I was thinking you were saying to adjust the bases of the arm pivots somehow...:025:
But at least we have some pictures now.
I figured it out!
Take off the cowl and look behind the wiper motor. There is a little double ball joint where the rods connect to the motor- one for the left and one for the right. The "clamp" that holds the rod to the ball of the motor shaft has two nuts on a slotted hole. Loosen the nuts...
Anybody ever have to adjust the wiper arms so that they stop closer to the bottom of the windshield when turned off? Mine seem like they're a notch too high. The driver's side even goes all the way to the seal on the glass at the top of the stroke. Is there a way to adjust that?
