    I love plastic engine parts!

The diamond cut insert is fine with a mold set process. The problem is the composition of the composite cover. In general, the CLTE for most plastics is 6-10 times greater than metals. If GM spent a few cents more on the insert and the plastic, there would be no issues.

    Front diff need modifier?

Acetone or Brake Cleaner will not dissolve/clean heavyweight oils/sludge efficiently. Use a degreaser.

    I love plastic engine parts!

Btw if you run your truck hard the plastic will not hold up either way.

    Low voltage at fuel pump

What are the wire colors of the truck harness? The connector is on top of the frame rail. The picture shown is the fuel pump wiring.

Buy a cast aluminum timing cover as a backup. Once you have it in hand have at it. Make a wedge by grinding down a flat piece of metal or other material with a slot that is thin enough so it just fits under the bolt head tight. You will have to tap it on. Then Slowly loosen the bolt. If you get...

    Low voltage at fuel pump

Engine and transmission type? Do you have dual fuel tanks? You may have an oil pressure-sending unit tied into the fuel delivery system to shut it down in case of low oil pressure (below 4 psi). Regarding wire track - get yourself the manuals here.

    3/4 Ton of fun - ‘95 Sierra

What I mean is wherever the splines land - you should make a dimple/flat spot where the set screw is contacting the steering gear input shaft. If not, It may loosen over time. It happened to me twice after installing a RedHead steering gear coupled with a Cunningham Machine steering shaft on my...

    3/4 Ton of fun - ‘95 Sierra

Is that an aftermarket steering shaft? If so, I’m guessing you checked the base of the steering shaft to make sure it’s fitted properly (the set screw is located over a flat spot on the steering gear shaft, or a dimple was made for the set screw) and the steering gear does not have a pin...

    3/4 Ton of fun - ‘95 Sierra

That’t not normal. Hopefully it’s just lash not set properly. How much travel is there at the steering wheel to get it to clunk? If new parts were used, it should be tight and loosen some with miles.

    How could I fix this

Indeed it is, but it can be repaired. Invest in some equipment and start honing your skills. Years ago I purchased my 91 GMC C2500 (8600 GVWR) for $50.00 with that in mind. Three cab mounts pushed through, holes in the frame etc. Very rewarding when it’s done. I now use it to trailer my...

    How could I fix this

I had the same issue on my 91 C2500 8ft bed. I just fabricated independent mounts.

Engine Struggling to Accelerate at WoT

You can get the manuals at the link below if you don’t have them already. You will need a hand vacuum pump w/gauge to check the EGR and MAP. https://www.gmt400.com/threads/88-98-service-manuals.43575/

Engine Struggling to Accelerate at WoT

It doesn’t look like a fuel issue to me. Double-check every vacuum connection under the hood. You can check the MAP, TPS, and ECT with a vacuum gauge/multimeter. The EGR should be checked also.

Engine Struggling to Accelerate at WoT

A couple things you can do in the meantime. Look at your spark plugs (all of them) and take a photo and post it. Look at your ink spray pattern at idle and at a higher rpm in park. Note pattern, drips and differences between banks.
