    94 LS Swap

Wondering if anyone has any info about marrying the wiring harnesses together from the LS to the factory harness? I can find 96+ but nothing for a 94 etc. If anyone could point me in the direction of a how to guide, that would be great. LT1Swap is also 96+, nothing there on a 94 down. Thanks!!

    5.7 build sheet

Worst I’ve ever seen. You can see the discoloring on the block where that main got super hot. I’ve never seen one crack the block under the main bearing either. I knew that’s where the issue was when the bolts on that one main cap were only finger tight. So now I have heads and a trans for...

    5.7 build sheet

Thanks for the info! I’m not going to be doing anything to the 92 engine. I put it back together, found the squeal and fixed that, then I was able to hear the knock in the bottom end. Tore it down and found spun rod bearings, and three spun mains. Check the photos of the block, crank and mains.

    5.7 build sheet

Good info guys. I already had the thing ready to pull. Was going to snatch it out tonight. I bought the truck as a donor for my 94, never could sell it because of the squeal. Maybe I will connect all the wiring back up and fire it up and see if I can figure out what’s going on before I pull it...

    5.7 build sheet

Thanks for the info Schurkey. It doesn’t have a knock, it has an intense his pitch squeal after it runs for maybe 45 seconds.

    5.7 build sheet

Ok so I have a question for the engine builders. I currently have a 94 and a 92 both with 5.7’s. The 92 has a suspect spun rod bearing and the 94 runs great. I’m about to pull the 92 and do a rebuild, and had plans to LS swap the 94. After some thought I felt that for headache reduction, when I...

2/4 or 3/4 Drop Kit, what size tires for Rally 15"s?

Thanks Richard! I'm guilty of not reading the whole thread, I just replied to Sewlow's post. That makes me feel better about the DJM kit.

2/4 or 3/4 Drop Kit, what size tires for Rally 15"s?

Sewlow, DJM claims that their LCA's paired with their UCA's remove all camber, castor and bump issue and ensure a "stock" ride experience. They also claim that with both of those in place alignment isn't an issue. I was wondering if you knew of anyone that has this particular setup, or if...

    Fast blinkers

Purchased a heavy duty flasher today, went to the parking lot and installed it, soon as I turned the key on, the blinker fuse blew. Took it back inside, got the factory replacement and a new fuse, installed both, fast blinker issue resolved. Thanks for all the input!

The real differences in 700r4/4l60/4l60e transmissions by year

All that being said, one can assume that a 700R4 from a 92 extended cab will not work in a 94 single cab. But...are the torque converters interchangeable? Mine hits really hard from 1st to 2nd and when going from park to drive or reverse.

94 MarkIII buckets to 60/40 bench

Got it bolted in today, really liking the new seats. Made the truck feel a lot better on the inside. Thanks for the info Mac, helped me a TON!!

94 MarkIII buckets to 60/40 bench

I was thinking about putting some clear bathroom caulk on the bottom side between the washers and the floor when I put them in. Ended up working late today, so I will have to wait to bolt them in. Supposed to be getting some bad weather here in the next few days, hopefully I can get it done...
