I am geting a d 44 axle tomaro and i was wondering how much it ways it is compleet besides the tires and the calipers?
Am going to try to lift it in my truck my self after digging it out.
sweet ill have to watch that. well thats the part i don't know yet i want do like the RCLB did on his truck. but i know a machinist that can make parts for me he works at 3m in the shop.
And i guess i'm going to have to get about 6 in out of it. Im not doing it for a few months but just wanted to see if i was missing any thing witch it looks like i am. Thanks for the help tho.
Ive never done one yet but i want to to my truck i had my Friends dad make all the brackets and when he made them they were a half in on both sides wider that the spring pads so was just going to move them in and it has 3.73 gears in it and i guess he said it was out of a chevy that had the SAS...
I got the Front axle for my 92 k1500 this weekend. i got it free its a driver side drop with a 6 bolt axle shafts 10 bolt housing. Don't know what it was out of but has new axle shafts, hubs, and diff in it. The spring pads have to be moved outward about an in" or less.
What shocks would you...
Do your front springs have to be stright with the rear ones or can they be angled a little so you dont have to have a bracket maid to stick out fot the spring on the rear of the front sprngs?
When i Shift my truck from Park or Neutral in to drive it makes a clunking sound coming from the drive line some where in the back i know its not the transmission or the T-case. Any help would be great. Thanks
