I had trouble with mine not going back in after pulling them out. I took mine out to clean them and they work fine now. Years of dirt and grime build up and affect them. You might be able to clean them enough in the vehicle without removing them.
A common problem are the seals around the doors for the defrost and air conditioning literally melting away. When I go into my dash I will replace them with this: Heater-Air Distributor 52467204
Semantics. Call them what you want. The ones in the pic is what I'm asking about...that should be clear enough. At least it was for most who replied. They are on my z71, so to me they're z71 wheels. Thanks for your input, very helpful!

I'm thinking it is a valve sticking as well. Any ideas on a simple solution? The guy who rebuilt it is two hours from me and requires me to take the trans out of the truck...I'm just trying to take care of this before it comes to that.

Sorry for the delay...I took these the other day and I was busy working on the truck and forgot to upload them. They are not as good as I hoped they would turn out, but maybe you can make them out. These are pics of the passenger door, the driver's door is the same layout.
