Towed the same fifth wheel this weekend and what a difference! New plugs & a bottle of injector cleaner were the only two items I knocked off the list and it towed the trailer great, even would shift into 3rd and still tug up the modest inclines. Coolant Temperature Sensor
My truck hesitates from time to time, the most concerning is when it's under hard acceleration, especially past 2500 rpm when you are trying to climb a hill or pull a load up an incline. Trying to sort it out and want to rule out items one at a time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 95k2500

Coolant Temperature Sensor
Is there a way to tell if these are legitimately failed? I understand they can cause all sorts of issues with running rich, etc, but I would want to confirm the part is bad before shelling out $30 for another. While my truck was running, I popped off the two wire plug and it definitely bogged...- 95k2500

Changed them all out and gapped at .035 ... today going to tackle the fuel filter. I've got fuel injector cleaner in the tank right now too. Took it for a good run last night and it definitely has a hesitation under hard throttle, once it's up around 2,500-3,000 rpm it seems to stutter when you...- 95k2500

275,000 KM on the truck... no cat (was removed by the previous owner)... but I will start digging around on the fuel system and see if I can uncover anything unusual. I appreciate the tips... it's a solid truck and shouldn't really have an issue pulling our fifth wheel, it's definitely within...- 95k2500

The campground we pulled it out of on Sunday had a very steep incline and it seemed to pull it up that fine... course that was at low speed and 1st gear. No OD for highway, D only. I've pulled many trailers in my life. So what would be the issue with the tranny if it downshifts and up shifts...- 95k2500

It runs well... though even unloaded I noticed it does struggle a bit on the hills, I live in a pretty hilly town with some steep slopes and it definitely doesn't 'cruise' up those hills with ease, though I never thought of that much before. Trailer should be fine, it's under 7,000 lb loaded...- 95k2500

Brake Control Harness?

Official tow capacity?
Does anyone know what the official tow capacity rating for my truck is? 1995 Chevy K2500 ECLB 5.7 auto 4.10 gears. Seems to be conflicting info online, I'd figure 8,000 lb but curious as to what the official number is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
