Plugs - AC Delco, yet what type

It seems like every shop online or in-person has their own variation of what OE plugs are. I bought me a set of 41-902 AC Delco Double Platnium plugs to put in this weekend. I went to a couple parts stores, and they told me to get iridium plugs as OE. Yet, RockAuto recommended platnium as a replace or even copper.

Guys - do I have the right plugs for a 98 K1500 5.7L 350?

Nalley GMC and Rock Auto both list the ACDelco 41-993 Iridiums as the recommended OEM replacement for your '98 K1500 5.7L, but Rock Auto lists a few other ACDelco options as well. One of which is your 41-902 Double Platinums. They're gapped exactly the same at .060", I'm sure you'll be fine with what you have.

I've got TBI, CR43TS for that. Buuut, I see now AC Delcos are made in China, least that's what my box said. Looking for an alternative next time. If it can be outsourced, by god someone will do it for a fatter bonus at the expense of many..

I have a 1998 C1500, 5.7, auto and used the ACDelco 41-993 Iridiums. Runs great!

As listed above, changed out the original 1998 plugs for AC Delco 41-993's and runs great!

I run and always will run AC Delco Platinum's. I have been told that GM recommends the AC Delco Platinum plugs in these Vortecs. I had some regular AC Delco ones in my truck, but they weren't the best. Ever since I put AC Delco Platinum's in my truck, it made it run a lot better. Always run gap at .060", Platinum's come .060" already, but it's always good to check before you install them.

Buy platnium.i use them in my 96 van.350 v8.my 1988 Chevy pickup.305 v8.you can tell the difference.more power.got to be saving gas.and they want need changing for a long while.find some on sale.any are good.

Iridium is not OEM, but will wear much longer than platinum. You can get 60-80k from platinum, but 100k+ with iridium. While it is true that ACDelco has sourced some parts and certain lines from outside the states, it is because several reasons, They sells vehicles in about 66 countries, some Delphi plants have closed, GM is invested in other companies besides NGK, Isuzu and ride-share companies, but the big one is they build (Plant is in Xiang) and sell a lot of Buicks & Chevy's in China. This is where some copies of the Tech2 have been coming from...don't buy them. Yes, GM is building autonomous mapping based software.

Politian's will have to pry my older Chevy truck, from my cold dead hands!!!!
