dynamat and/or other sound proofing

i've heard that the obs trucks have horrible sound proofing. i've noticed this with the radio on and i step outside my truck and only with the volume on 6 i can hear the music pretty good outside.

i'm just looking to keep most of the sound inside my tahoe with low cost. i've heard of using dynamat? on the doors but i'm curious to how well it works and if theres anything better or more that can be done? thanks

Dynamat is overpriced. There are plenty of other brands that are cheaper but same quality.

ah ok. so how is it applied? is it put on the whole door panel or is it just around the speaker for the best results?

I've got some dynamat in mine like this:

It has definitely helped with any interior rattling and other noise.

You can also go the route I did and get the stuff from home depot and some spray glue

Theres also stuff called E-dead, I believe it's butyl based. I've heard good things about it.
