I run Quaker State 10w30 or 10w40 in both my 5.7s, depending on which one I can get.yeah not sure. Im going to try 10w40, not t4. Not going that thick yet.

Yeah I definitely should've before I put it in. I would've pulled the oring but it was so far back I couldnt even see it. It was stuck in the position that it's in when the lockring gets snapped in.should have done while the transmission was out. usually have to smack the cover with a deadblow a dozen times and it will come off. i also usually pull the oring out the slot with a pick then cut it. makes it much easier to come out.
I would lower the tail of trans, remove cross member and possibly driveshaft and drop it as low as it can go with a floor jack. definitely worth doing the servo, just make sure the snap ring is seated. and clean up the area really good so the new seals dont get cut when you are pushing the servo in.Yeah I definitely should've before I put it in.
